ECU versions (especially ZE50)

On the German forum a shared google spreadsheet is being community-maintained listing ECU software versions. Cool way to notice if something has changed. Since CanZE beta can also pick up on the versions in the ZE50, tabs for those models have been added. While the column titles are in German, I would urge everyone with a ZE50 and in the CanZE beta track to add to it. We even added a “query all to CSV file” button in the Firmware screen so it should be fairly easy.

  1. The value we show in the App seems to be confirmed now by several users checking them with the dealers. There are already rumors about a BMS software update. The SOH will probably go up on it’s own, when it starts to get warmer again. We still need more data to conclude, if and how the reported SOH represents the long-term health of the Battery, as well as the currently available capacity.
Not a good sign though that Renault reduced capacity guarantee from 75% to 70%

    • Actually afaik 75% was only to the leased one. The owned one was a little bit different:

      August 2017: ZOE “i”: 5 years/60,000 miles (whichever comes first) – 70% battery capacity
February 2018: ZOE i: 8 years or 100,000 miles or below 66% minimum battery capacity (whichever comes first).
October 2020: ZOE i, registered from 1st July 2020: 8 years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first. Subject to the age and mileage restrictions set out above, the
warranty covers the battery if it falls below the following battery minimum capacity: Years 1-3 = 80% / Years 4-8 = 70%
