It’s a bit like my ZOE not having folding mirrors, because I don’t want to buy a new one. I am not trying to be flippant, but dark theme-ing is the latest craze and only recently supported in Android. To implement it in the app for Android 8 and lower means going over a LOT of code. Doing it for the widgets was already a lot of work. We lived without a dark theme for the entire life cycle of CanZE now and as already >50% of the current CanZE users is on Android 9 or 10, it looks like it is not worth it.
