What is the startup sequence and what messages are exchanged to make the car happy enough to work.

Hi. Small update. I’m installing the Leaf one with own lithium at the moment since there are no 8-packs of Tesla modules around right now and will be upgrading when I could get my hands on them.

I’m not sure if I’ll be in the process of remastering the Leaf battery per se to take pics and it’s not as dramatic as fitting 18650’s with liquid cooling, though I can connect you with people who are doing it if interested and will ask them questions on my own tomorrow too.

That being said, my Zoe is parked without battery at the moment so if you want any pictures of the underside, connectors etc which would normally be obscured I can do it.

Can’t reply to the last message. Yeah the forum is in Russian/Ukrainian.

BMS is different, but they use a BMS from leaf modified to talk to Zoe. I’m in no way directly related to the project, just hanging around in that forum. When I get my Zoe upgraded with the help of same people I’ll tell more info if they consider it public enough.

Absolutely cool. I had to use Google translate and well, I am not sure I get it 100%. Is doc1972 saying the BMS in the ZOE is 100% the same as Leaf?

I asked around, no clear answer. My guess is at least the fan logic would work (no reason why not). If it also uses the active mode (A/C cooling) is less obvious. IMHO.

Thanks you. I’m about to retrofit Tesla modules on a Zoe and given it has liquid cooling I was curious whether I could re-use the blower logic replacing it with a pump. If it doesn’t respond to temperature, then it’d be harder.
